West Somerset Food Cupboard Food Requests, April 2025

Dear friends and supporters of the West Somerset Food Cupboard,

Thank you for supporting the West Somerset Food Cupboard
by donating food items for local distribution.

We are rapidly building up to the Easter weekend, so we are very grateful for any help with Easter treats. We all know how much we enjoy chocolate so it would be lovely to be able to distribute as many Easter eggs as possible to our community at this time.

If we could request the following items that are most needed, we would be very grateful.

  • Tins of Macaroni cheese/Ravioli/Spaghetti
  • Tinned Veg: Peas/Carrots/Sweetcorn/Potatoes (large)
  • Tinned Tomatoes
  • Individual small puddings- jelly/Custard
  • UHT Milk 1 litre
  • Squash and Long-life Juice cartons
  • Tinned fruit
  • Tinned Meat – Casserole/Stew/Curry
  • Tinned Hot Dogs
  • Hot Chocolate and Coffee
  • Easter Treats & Sweet Treats

No fresh, chilled, frozen, damaged, out-of-date or home-made items please!

We try and include items in our packs that will allow people that may find themselves homeless or in temporary accommodation the opportunity to have as varied a diet as possible.

Thank you as always, nothing ever gets wasted. If you can offer some alternative diet items that would also be great. We have suddenly had a demand for gluten free and dairy free produce, and we are currently supporting a number of families with these requirements.

Items can be dropped on at one of numerous drop off locations…

If you ever are unsure what you would like to donate or feel unsure that what you are donating is useful, we are always grateful for monetary donations too which is another way that you could help. You can be sure that the money will go towards projects that will offer further food support to the community.

We are asking as many of our supporters to register with the Easy Fundraising website and help us raise much needed funds to continue our work. It doesn’t cost you a penny but every time you shop online with over 8000 retailers or brands they will donate a percentage of the sale to our cause.

So far, we have had 18 supporters sign up and that has generated £140 for us which is brilliant. If you can encourage as many family members as possible to sign up it really will make a difference and enable us to increase the scope of the work that we do within the community.

Wishing you all the best from the team at WSFC
